As a choreographer, I am interested in developing a sense of personal vernacular within the context of our classical vocabulary - it is a very pliant vocabulary which can express the energy and ideas of our day, while retaining a sense of fidelity to its roots. The strong sense of attack and exploration and classical vitality of the dancers of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens excites me about this new project. -Septime Webre
