Enter the 2009-2010 Young Philanthropists raffle, an annual fundraising activity led by young people to support Les Grands Ballets’ youth activities. There are many prizes to be won, including a trip for two to Venice to visit the Biennale, where the company will be performing in May 2010.

Raffle tickets are $5 each, available at the Young Philanthropists booth during our shows at Place des Arts and at the company’s studios, at 4816 Rivard (Laurier metro station). You can also purchase tickets by calling Pierre-Marie Colin at 514 849-8681.

Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal will launch on November 19, a collection of Christmas decorations inspired by characters from The Nutcracker and conceived by interior designer Jean-Daniel Pilon.

The Nutcracker / The Snow Queen / The King of Candyland /

The Spaniard / The Angel

During this event, ten copies of five original models of wreaths and centrepieces will be on sale, with proceeds going to Les Grands Ballets. The launch will be held on Thursday, November 19, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Les Grands Ballets' studios, 4816 Rivard Street. Committee members Isabelle de Gaspé Beaubien, Christiane Hachey and Frédéric Henry will be present.

Wine and cheese will be served.
