Touring

The company tours with a minimum of 53 people: Artistic Director, 2 Ballet Masters, 35 dancers, Artistic Coordinator, Technical Director, Stage Manager, Lighting Designer, Technical Assistant, Wardrobe, 6 IATSEtechnicians, Touring Manager, Pianist, Physiotherapist.

Note : 100 staff members tour with The Nutcracker and more than 100 extra children/adolescents, are needed in each city where the production is being presented.

Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal tours with its sets, costumes and all other related production items. The company may bring additional lighting and sound equipment to add to the existing technical equipmentavailable in local theatres. The average weight for all the equipment is between 8,000 and 12,000 kilos depending on the productions.
